On March 2, 2022 (Japan time), the “3rd Kyoto University Life Science Showcase @ San Diego 2022” was held as an event for academia-originated startups interested in commercializing their seeds and technologies in the U.S. market. PuREC was honored with the JETRO KYOTO Award at this event.
The showcase targeted life science startups originating from academia that aim to expand their business in the United States. A total of 16 companies, including PuREC, delivered presentations across four categories: Immunity & Infectious Diseases, Medical Devices, Small Molecules & Nucleic Acids, and Regenerative Medicine. The JETRO Kyoto Award is presented to the most outstanding startup, particularly in the Regenerative Medicine category.
